Germany, Paris, Switzerland, and Venice

After we went to Norway, we went to Germany where we hung out with an old intern of my dad and his wife whose wedding pictures we took. We did a lot of great stuff like go to a festival called October fest with beer and men and women dressing in old German clothing, men with lederhosen and women with skirts. We also went to the Mercedes museum which was pretty cool. We also did some photography, helping Toby, the intern, use a flash box, which gives off light for photos.    Then it was off to Paris, the city of love, or so I've heard. Besides celebrating my mom's bday, Paris was an amazing place. We went up to the top of the Eiffel Tower which was amazing and scary when it came to going up the elevators that hung from the inside. We could see the entire city from there, from boarder to boarder, so to speak. After the Eiffel Tower came a dinner boat ride threw the canal around town. We saw things like Notre Dome (RIP) and some other amazing things. We also manage...

Norway and the zoo

Image
Once we finished our Lego movie, we decided that it was time to head back to the air b&b before we headed off to Norway. The next morning we were off. We said goodbye to the sweet puppy and headed off to Norway. It was a long journey but eventually, we arrived. We took the car down to our friends house where we would be staying for the week. We eventually arrived and said our hellos and put down our stuff before we headed to bed, cause boy was it late. The next morning we headed off, after the breakfast that our hostess made, as of every morning we where there. We decided to go to the zoo for our first destination, which I can say was amazing. There was so much to see and explore, with animals of all shapes and sizes.        It really was an amazing place, though we had to go sooner than later in order to be able get home and do a walk. It was an old flume thing that loggers used to get logs that they chopped down fro, where they were cut...

Home of the Lego House Pt. 2

Once the plane ride was done, it was off to our air b&b in Billund where we would be staying for the next 3 days. It was a little way away but eventually, we made it to the farm. Our first look was memorable since the first thing we saw was a dead cow getting lifted my a claw into a truck. At first the claw couldn’t get a grip on the cow but eventually, it got a grip of it and lifted it into the truck bed. Though now the claw couldn’t seem to get it off so it just giggled all around till it eventually got it to release and drove off to who knows where.  After that semi-scaring moment, we drove up the driveway to the air b&b where we were immediately greeted by a super sweet, cuddly puppy. She stole my heart right there and then. Even though she was soaked, she still managed to get me to pet and snuggle her. After a few moments, the hostess came out and showed us around the air b&b. It was super large with large rooms filled with plenty of goodies. The place was even w...

Home of the Lego House Pt. 1

The last time I wrote we were just leaving to London where we ended up staying for a week. Now we are off to Denmark, home of the Lego House. This was my one request when it came to where we went. So now it was the matter of packing up all our stuff and setting off again. The first stop was the train station where we hopped from train to train until we got to the airport. Then it was just a matter of checking in and going threw security. The crazy thing about this airports security is that it had an automatic trey dispenser.  What happens is that first you grab a trey bellow your station and place it one the rollers, then you put your stuff in it and let it roll down to the scanners like a regular airport. Though the special thing is that first, it had a machine that would sort out the treys that needed to be checked and the ones that didn’t. The second thing was once you took back all your stuff from the treys, it would continue to roll down onto a ...

My apologies

Dear readers, I would like to apologize for not posting recently. The reason is is that we have been in London for the past week and there wasn’t a lot to write about since we ended up staying inside a lot.l Though now that we are on the move again, I will start posting more depending on the amount of time and how exciting our travels are. Sincerely, Hiccup Haddock the fourth

We're in

Once we rode into the ferry, it was smooth sailing to Scotland. The ferry was a good 2 hours but it wasn't that bad. I did some homework along with watch some Star Trek with my dad. Eventually, we hit land and it was just a matter of driving a few hours to Holiday inn where we stayed for a few nights so we could get some rest. During our time in Glassco, where the Holiday inn was, we got to see a rebuilt somewhat pirate ship. It had full sails with cargo, a bell, and wheel, along with so many more amazing things. We also got some hot sandwiches and looked at the museum right next to the ship. It had stuff ranging from old game shows to cars to even ships.      Eventually, most of us got tired of old stuff so we headed to the hotel for one last good night's rest before we headed off again. Once we finished our time at Holiday inn, we took our troubled Jaguar back out into the hills of Scotland. This time it was a 3 to 4 hour trip to an air B&B whi...

And we’re off!

We ended up staying at the place by the cliffs for two days. Then it was off to our last place in Ireland which was a small brick house in a little closed of neighborhood. It was a surprisingly nice place with great bedrooms, one with its own bathroom, a really nice living room with tv and couches, and a decent kitchen with a mini kitchen table. The hostess was amazing. She was super nice and she gave such a low rate. (Afterwards, we suggested she raise the price and then gave her some improved photos of the house) We managed to grab 2 nights at the place so we could go out and explore the area. Our first stop was a museum dedicated to the history of Londonderry. The museum was good overall but it was so musty we found ourselves rushing through it just to get away from the smell. So instead, me and mom went home so she could relax and I could work on homework while dad went back out to explore some more. Then, once he got home, me and him watched Star Trek w...

Ready, set, go!

We were back on the road and off unto another journey. This time it was further up Ireland to see what we could see. We ended up staying at a nice couple’s house who rented out part of their enormous house for air b&b. They had a really nice set up with two queen-sized beds in our bedroom and our semi-personal bathroom (Since we were staying at the same time as other air B&Bers though luckily we had separate areas) We ended up talking for a while before my parents went out to get food while I took a walk with our hostess Ann and her dog and friend’s dog. We walked over to meet William, her husband, then proceeded to walk over to their parent's house where we had a quick chat before walking back to the air b&b. After they got back, we had a quiet dinner and headed off to bed. We had a pretty nice night in the end and enjoyed a freshly made breakfast (And dad managed to get William to teach him how to play Hurley) After one finale talk and quick pack, we g...

On the road again

Image
Once we finished our soul-filled goodbyes, we were off on our own again, on the road. For a long time, it was driving, listening to music, playing games, and stopping for the occasional pee and snack break. Though eventually after days of homework, air b&bs, and some games, we finally arrived in the area where we wanted to be. Our first stop after we arrived was a small Air b&b at an alpaca and sheep farm. Being able to see the alpacas was good enough until I saw my first baby alpaca. The size of the alpaca baby was so small and so dang cute. I found my self staring at the alpaca for hours. Besides the alpacas, the RV we were staying in at the farm was pretty nice. The blankets were nice and warm and my bed (which is usually not a bed) was an okay size for an RV.   Eventually, we put some of our stuff into the RV and headed out to look for some food that wasn’t the size of a cracker. Overall, there weren’t a lot of options but we eventuall...

I have finally made it to London Pt. 4 (This is the last part, I promise)

Image
Today was a really amazing day. At first I had my doubts about going to a park. Though once we got closer and closer to the destination, my expectations     where pretty high. There was beautiful trees everywhere with a deer grazing in a field of light gold grass all in one spot on the way so I was pretty stunned. Once we arrived at the destination, my expectations were more than filled. Right at the parking lot there were tons of dear grazing on grass, crossing the lake, and the bridge to get to the other side with people five to ten feet away. There was three type s of dear that I observed. Deer with a pure dark brown coat, deer with light brown coat and white spots, and dear with a dark reddish coat. There was even an albino deer which is pretty rare. The amazing thing was that the deer were tame in the way that we could be five feet away from the deer and they wouldn’t scurry away but...

I have finally made it to London Pt. 3

Image
The next day was a day for our friends six year old. For that we took him to one of the science museums down in London. There was rockets, planet , space, and jet simulators, and so much more We ended up spending around an hour or two at the museum looking around and exploring before the baby started to get grumpy so that ended the science museum. Once we finished our long train ride back, everyone pretty much just headed home to give the baby some time to rest before we meet back up for dinner. We had some shepherds pie and take for a while then we walked back to the hotel and off to bed.      The next two days were pretty simple in the fact that we pretty much just stayed at the hotel to talk about the trip and catch up on some rest. (Which meant the parents talked and I play some Minecraft Hypixal. Username CalStar04) The day after that was off to the mall to get myself a new "English" haircut along with some clothes and grocery shoppi...

I have finally made it to London Pt. 2

After we had a good nights sleep at the hotel, it was off to Bucking Ham Palace. It was amazing to the enormous palace and its glowing statue. (Though it was a shame that the fountain had no water in it) After exploring the outskirts of the palace and fountain, we decided to go look around town to see if there were any other touristy things to do. After a longish walk, we walked upon a small building with books showing the inside off the palace, stuffed animal dogs with guard hats, and other sorts of English things. Our friend eventually decided to get a small crown keyring even when I thought it looked a bit cheap. Next, we decided to go see if we could find some food that could satisfy our hunger, though ended up walking for a while do indecision and ended picking a place that was pretty expensive and had only pretty decent food. (Though the waffle that I ordered seemed like a unicorn, Easter bunny, and lucky charm mixed to make a sugar monstrosity) Once we h...

I have finally made it to London Pt.1

When I last wrote in this blog, I told you about how I was going on an around the world trip for my first year of High School. (Though I will be doing homeschool so teachers, no need to worry) Well around a week ago I arrived in London. When I arrived in London, it wasn't too, looking a lot like the U.S. Though once we started to travel through London to get to the hotel we were staying at, (Holiday Inn) I started to notice all the differences between the U.S and the U.K. There was a lot more brick buildings, the buildings were a lot closer together, and there were a lot more open spaces with parks, lakes, and other natural sites. Eventually, we arrived at the hotel and it was time for a long-needed rest.    Once we were done resting, we went over to a long-time friend's house. We originally meet her in Hawaii so she invited us to see her humble abode. We got to meet her husband and her six and nine-month-old, which meant I was babysitting while the...

Let the adventure begin

Hello ladies and gentelmen, Its been a little while since I've posted and the reason is as of tomorrow at 2:00, I will start my world trip. (Which means I've been packing for a while) We will be heading off to the main land for a month then off to London to start the world trip. As far as what places we will be visiting when it comes to the world trip, some of the possible spots will be (not in order) New Zealand, England, Denmark, South America, Australia, Ireland, and possibly Antartica. And for all the worried teachers and parents out there that fear for my education, I will be taking a home school corse. Now I want to also say that I will be posting frequently on my trip so make sure to stay tuned in. So now all that I can say is wish me luck and bon voyage.  Sincerely, Hiccup Haddock the Fourth

Best memory of 2018-19

Life is short, so it's good to write down memories that you cherish. One of the many memories that I cherish for this year is when I got to do Camp Erdman. We got to do so many amazing things like zip lining, doing tightrope from a pretty high height, shooting arrows off into the unknown, hunting for crabs in the dark, singing songs by the campfire, or watching a play which could go any which way. Camp Erdman was such a joy. We got to experience life semi-outdoors while also getting to face fears in great ways. That’s my favorite memory.

Under the sea

Under the sea It is thriving with life With so many creatures More beautiful than your wife or shiner than a knife With mystery all around you Spread all around It's hard to find one creature That will be crowned for being renowned There are so many species That are yet to be found Why I could say there's more Then the ones already around With their unusual backgrounds And though you may have A horror of the sea Just know that it's there To help you and me

This will change everything: Fix up Kahaluu bay

Image
Do you have an area that you really enjoy going to but it's damaged so much you can't even tell that it's the same place? Well, that's what's happening in Hawaii. If you go to Kahaluu bay, which is a beach in Hawaii, you will see that the buildings are surprisingly rusted and damaged with years of wear and tear on the buildings. The railings are rusted and the concrete is cracking all over the place. With all that rust and broken concrete, it goes right into the ocean, making sea animals sick and less willing to come to the beach. If you look at images of the beach, most of the time, it will give you pictures of the buildings looking nice and new, like this one, but as I said, if you go there, I can guarantee that is not going to be the case. What I want to do with this petition is renovate all the buildings in Kahaluu bay, make the sidewalks smooth again, and the railings and other assists clean and new. So if this petition gets the attention of Mayor Harr...

Lilikoi for moi

Lilikoi can be soft and sweet Or tart if it is raw like meat Lilikoi can have many forms Like butter, jams, or spicey storms With lilikoi, there is no going back Once you taste it, it will be all over your racks With the difficulty, it has to grow You might find it hard to have time to sow Through with so many options, you will probably experience some exhaustion.                                                                                         Work cited Da Vine foods
