The snow fell on the house

The snow fell gently
on to the small little house
Where no one stirred,
not even a mouse

With the floor made of rich pine
Which was straighter than my spine
With the walls made of brick
That was two feet thick

Though it was silent
The smell there was vibrant
With the smell of roast turkey
And a little beef jerky

The snow fell hard
Like glass hitting you like a shard
With the snow this large
It could sink a large barge

Then like a bolt of lightning
Which was more than frightening
The house disappeared
Which is quite weird

But with the house gone
And it nearing dawn
All that was left
Was a small birds nest
